View Full Version : My Pally and Leadership Points

The following question is not really Pally-related - it is for all who melee (but I wanted to stress that I am NOT talking about my cleric) :-)

I have turned LS-exp ON on my Pally. Now that I am nearing my third point ( :-) ) the BIG question arises: where to invest best?? Which ability to start first?

I have a bow, and I have armour (and I will be groupleader when I use the LS-abilities) - so I take it that I am puller AND Tank. Thats the setup.

Now there is the 'Mark NPC' ability, which I think I will take first (one point).

BIG QUESTION: do I need in this situation a 'Delegate Man Assist' as the next?? Because the text to the 'NPC health' says that it works only on NPCs targeted by the MAIN ASSIST!?!
Does this not work with the 'Mark NPC' of the groupleader?

Which ones are essential in the beginning too? I think 'Find Path to PC' is very useful.

Do you have any hints/tips to these questions or more tips from your vast experience? Which ones are the essentials and 'truely useful' abilities - and which ones are better to forget?

Mark npc... this you can train up to marking 3 npc's. ie will put a tag after npc's name 1.2 or 3.... uses.. you will delegate 'Mark npc' to your enchanter or other crowd control PC... they after mezzing/rooting will mark there target 1.2 or 3 thus showing the group which then to attack. ( Blue has only got 1 point in this as it seemed less esentail than the others)

..Hot button for this one made from bringing leaderboard up..
Delegate mark npc... as explained above, Pc that is in charge of Crowd control... Hotbutton from LB again.

Delegate main assist ... even if your group leader, you must still delegate the MA.. (very handy to have makes it obvious what MA is on... but don't always presume the MA will be main tank.. ie.. tank may be switching from many targets to get mass agro, thus the MA target is flying all over and is terrible confuseing.. so MA is cast on th PC that as it says we assist.. but not always your MT)...Hotbutton from LB.

NPC health... again very good for your cleric/healer anyone whom hasn't main mob targeted handy to know the npc's health for heal timeing and other things.

Inspect buffs.. nice little ability, how many times do you have to ask some players how there buffed, the first ability lets you see there buffs the second gives you the timer on them ( Blue yet to get second).. Hotbutton made on LB.

Spell awareness.. love this handy knowing what spells are being cast around you and from the mobs.

Offence, health and mana enhancement.. any enhancement is good (still working on these)

Health regeneration .. who doesn't need that hehe.

Find path to PC... this has saved me and group members a few times wish more peeps used it .. though one must note when you levitateing you won't see the path, must be close to floor, works same as find npc.. will need updates as sometimes disappears.....Hotbutton made from LB.

Health of targets target... by far my favourite.. from tank view point he can see straightaway whom mob desides to hit on useualy before there even hit.. as a cleric can benefit a few ways.. one when your targeted on player you see there targets life so can judge heals etc.. and if you have mob targeted can give you a breif earliy warning whom may need heal, as we all know if its a caster they need it asp.... Hotbutton from LB ( realy is a handy one)

Hope this helps some.. I have only seen it on Blue's view point as a cleric .. let me know how it goes :)

My opinion is kinda selfish.
1. I love it when you have a leader full of leadership points.
2. I don't want to waste my xp on it as it is hard enough to come by.
3. I find that I usually have enough stuff goin on to not want to worry about leadership things as well.

I have it on, but rarely am leader, so dont have much to show for it.
A few of my in game friends are all over the leadership thing. But, they are all about being the "leader", so have given up.

i have done a fair few of the leadsership points on maxsped and i must say without a shadow of a doubt that Health of Targets Targets is the best to save for, just so just useful and u will wander how u lived without it . another is the health enhancement please please please dont over look this one, first rank gives u 30 hps yes only a small boost but im pretty sure that the final rank gives 200 hps total, now this doe3snt seem like much but 200hp x 6 is still an extra 1200 hps for the group, and it does all add up .

Thank you all for your very valuable advices and infos!

Many little (and bigger :o ) parts of this system are now much clearer to me!

I got my first 3 points now but did NOT invest them into the 'Mark NPC' feature, but I wait till I get my 4th point and take 'Delegate Main Assist' as first option!

@ Bluebell and Nipy: your both favorite 'Health of Targets Target' may be really the absolute best, but I think I have to 'buy' a feature in one - and I get only 4 points at once - this costs 7 points. I hope I will get to collect more points in one when I get higher in level :-)

Thanks again - and thank you all for voting too!!
